# Requirements

You will be expected to engage with the community every week, moderate the channels, respond to situations in the discord staff chat, bump the server, and handle Modmails.&#x20;

We will check if you have reached the **150** messages goal.

We count all messages except for ones sent in:

* Bot channels
* Staff command channels
* ModMail threads
* The staff server<br>

We will also check if you have participated in **at least four** moderation situations.&#x20;

<summary>Moderation Situations</summary>

**Situations include but aren’t limited to**:

* Handling a ModMail&#x20;
* Giving a verbal warning and noting it
* Issuing a warning through Dyno
* Muting someone through Dyno
* Banning someone through Dyno
* Constructively participating in a conversation about a situation in #🍇︲moderation-chat
* Voting at least 7 times in a week
* Bumping at least 10 times in a week<br>

Checks are usually done on **Sunday or Monday around 8 pm EST**.

If you cannot fulfill your duties for the week, please [put in a break](/moderation-guide/general-information/rules/breaks.md) at least three days before checks. Those with serious complications will also be exempt from reviews if [Admins have been informed](/moderation-guide/general-information/contacting-admins.md) within **two weeks**.
