# Appeals

{% hint style="info" %}
Dyno has a built-in appeal system for mutes and bans that’s sent with the reason.
{% endhint %}

Appeals should only be considered if the user did something that wasn't serious or was potentially misunderstood. For example, if a user used a slur but it turns out that they clearly meant no harm by it, the appeal can be approved.

Everyone should take part in the discussion of each appeal.

Appeals can be found in `#︱🍀・appeals`

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Only Admins can approve or reject appeals** once the discussion has finished. Once you feel confident in your opinion on the appeal, please react with either the checkmark (for approval) or the X (for denial).

Admins can approve/reject an appeal once **at least 5** votes have been given.

The thread can be archived once the appeal is handled.
{% endhint %}
