# Temporary Bans

This is a timed ban issued through Dyno. It works the same as a normal ban but only lasts for a set period of time.

1. Take a screenshot of the content in question.
2. Verify the rule break with one other moderator.&#x20;
   * Ping `@ ❰ Mod team ❱` in `#🌊︲active-situations`&#x20;
   * You may continue without additional input if no one responds within **2 hours**.&#x20;
3. Delete the content in question.
4. Go to `╭🎍・staff-commands` and check the ID with the ["whois" command. ](/moderation-guide/handling-rule-breaks/moderation-commands/whois.md)
5. Use the ["ban" command](/moderation-guide/handling-rule-breaks/moderation-commands/ban.md) to issue a Temporary Ban.
