# Threats of Violence

> **Do not make threats of violence or threaten to harm others**. This includes indirect or suggestive threats, as well as sharing or threatening to share someone’s personally identifiable information (also known as doxxing).

{% hint style="info" %}
**Examples**:

* Physical threats
* Doxxing
* Blackmail
 * Threatening to share damaging information if someone doesn’t do what they’re told to.
* Indirect threats
 * The intentions are vague but are more than likely dangerous.
 * “If you don't meet your commitments, you'll get what’s coming to you and I’ll make sure of it.”

We ban users who even joke about things such as doxxing. For other types of threats, please make sure they’re actually malicious and not friendly banter between friends before banning.
{% endhint %}
